ASP.NET 2.0 Web Parts in Action by DARREN NEIMKE
ISBN 1-932394-77-X

Цитата
The Web Parts team began working on the ASP.NET project almost four years ago. The vision
was to provide a set of controls that allow end users to assemble a Web User Interface using the
browser. The user would put the content he wanted in a web page by adding and removing “Web
Parts.” He would have the ability to adjust the web UI using drag and drop.
Web Parts in ASP.NET has created an inflection point in control development. In this model,
individual controls themselves are the heart of the web application. As I look to the next four
years, I can safely say that we have only scratched the surface of what can and will be done with
Web Parts. As you jump on the Web Parts train—and read ASP.NET Web Parts in Action—you
will be preparing yourself to take advantage of many new innovations in the years to come.

Design and Implementation of Generics by Andrew Kennedy, Don Syme
Microsoft Research, Cambridge, U.K.

Цитата
The Microsoft .NET Common Language Runtime provides a
shared type system, intermediate language and dynamic execution
environment for the implementation and inter-operation of multiple
source languages. In this paper we extend it with direct support for
parametric polymorphism (also known as generics), describing the
design through examples written in an extended version of the C#
programming language, and explaining aspects of implementation
by reference to a prototype extension to the runtime.
Our design is very expressive, supporting parameterized types,
polymorphic static, instance and virtual methods, “F-bounded”
type parameters, instantiation at pointer and value types, polymorphic
recursion, and exact run-time types. The implementation takes
advantage of the dynamic nature of the runtime, performing justin-
time type specialization, representation-based code sharing and
novel techniques for efficient creation and use of run-time types.

This book will help you figure out how to write Web applications using Microsoft's most current version of its HTTP request processing framework—ASP.NET 2.0. Web development has come a long way since the earliest sites began popping up in the early 1990s. The world of Web development offers several different choices as far as development tools go. Over the past few years, ASP.NET has evolved to become one of the most consistent, stable, and feature-rich frameworks available for managing HTTP requests.

code design from a policy, structure, development, and documentation perspective. Finally,
pattern standards discuss a subset of the design patterns catalogued by Drs. Gamma, Helm,
Johnson, and Vlissides (known as the “Gang of Four,” or “GoF”).

.NET 2.0 Interoperability Recipes: A Problem-Solution Approach
ISBN: 1590596692
Цитата
NET represents a new and improved way of developing software for the Windows platform. Given the chance, you’d probably rewrite all of your existing code in the newer managed code environment that .NET provides. But it is difficult or impossible to throw out all existing legacy code and start over when a new technology arrives. Instead, you need to find a way to move forward with new .NET development while reusing existing pieces of tested, working code. You need a way to interoperate with the existing code until you have a chance to finally rewrite all of it in .NET.

Expert Service-Oriented Architecture in C#:
by Jeffrey Hasan
ISBN (pbk): 1-59059-390-1

Цитата
There are many misconceptions about Web services. The phrase “Web services is for
calling methods using XML” appears most often. It is true that Web services give
developers a way to invoke code on a remote machine. And that code is encapsulated
in a method. But that does not mean that the Web services architecture
exists for remote method invocation. The Web services architecture offers an
unprecedented level of freedom when building distributed applications.
Read this book and you will be well on your way to understanding the Web services architecture.

Web Service Security
by Microsoft Corporation,2005,pp 359

Цитата
The content provided by Microsoft’s patterns & practices team addresses this
dire need. The design and implementation guidance will help developers identify
application-level security risks in their Web service deployments and implement
standard practices to mitigate those risks. We recommend that Web service
developers, particularly those using the .NET Framework, review this content and
implement its suggestions to help improve security in an increasingly interconnected
world. The design and implementation guidance provided in this guide increases
understanding of this complex space, and should prove of significant use in the
Web service development lifecycle.

Inside Microsoft .NET IL Assembler by Serge Lidin

ISBN-10: 0735615470
ISBN-13: 978-0735615472

Цитата
This book is not exactly about the common language runtime—even though it's only the tip of the .NET pyramid, the runtime is too vast a topic to be described in detail in any book of reasonable (say, luggable) size. Rather, this book focuses on the next best thing: the .NET IL Assembler.
IL assembly language (ILAsm) is a low-level language, specifically designed to describe every functional feature of the common language runtime. If the runtime can do it, ILAsm must be able to express it.

ISBN 1861005318

Цитата
This book aims to give the reader enough information to be able to use XML from within the .NET Framework in the most efficient manner possible. It will explain in detail the usage of all the XML-related .NET Framework library classes for the manipulation, validation, transformation, and serialization of XML data, using both C# and Visual Basic .NET. It also looks at how the developer can utilize the full power of XML within the .NET Framework, for example, with the new XML capabilities of ADO.NET and ASP.NET. As is demonstrated, the .NET Framework itself uses XML, in configuration files, meta data, and C#'s XML code documentation mechanism, for example.

Windows, while C# is a new programming language that has been designed specifically to work with
